Module outline
Module 1
GTM Foundations
3 hr- GTM definition, scope, and why it fails
- ICP, PMF, and market sizing (TAM/SAM/SOM)
- Positioning and messaging fundamentals
- The GTM World Model: tiers, clusters, state variables
Deliverable: GTM audit of a company of your choice — identify ICP, motion, and one structural gap
Module 2
Motions and Channel Strategy
4 hr- The motion inequality and how to use it
- PLG, ABM, outbound, inbound, and channel-partner motions
- Motion selection by stage, ACV, and buyer behavior
- Common motion-mismatch failure modes
Deliverable: Motion selection memo: recommend the correct primary motion for the audit company with evidence
Module 3
Funnel Design and Instrumentation
3 hr- The bowtie model end-to-end
- Qualification frameworks: BANT, MEDDIC, SPICED
- Funnel metrics: conversion rates, velocity, coverage
- Dark funnel and attribution gaps
Deliverable: Instrument a funnel: define the 10 metrics you would track for the audit company and their measurement method
Module 4
GTM Economics
4 hr- MRR walk: new, expansion, contraction, churn
- CAC, CAC payback, LTV:CAC — calculation and benchmarks
- NRR, GRR, and the expansion engine
- Rule of 40 and Rule of X
- Unit economics by motion and stage
Deliverable: Economics stress-test: model the CAC payback and LTV:CAC for the audit company; flag if out of benchmark range
Module 5
Buyer-State Theory and Demand Architecture
3 hr- The 95-5 rule and its implications for spend allocation
- Demand generation vs lead generation
- Brand as a stock variable: long-run effects
- Category creation vs category entry
- The measurement gap register
Deliverable: Demand architecture diagram: map the audit company's current demand mix and identify the missing layer
Module 6
Agentic GTM Design
3 hr- SRAL tiers (Scripted, Reactive, Adaptive, Learning)
- What agents can own vs what requires human judgment
- HITL design patterns for GTM workflows
- Integrating the GTM World Model as agent context
- Evaluation frameworks for agentic GTM systems
Deliverable: Agentic GTM blueprint: identify 3 automation opportunities in the audit company and design the HITL boundaries for each
Who this is for
GTM leaders
VPs of Sales, CMOs, and CROs who want a shared diagnostic language and a rigorous framework for strategy reviews and board presentations.
RevOps and GTM architects
Operators who instrument funnels, build tech stacks, and design compensation models — and want to connect tactical decisions to the underlying model.
Founders
Early-stage and growth-stage founders making the first GTM hires, choosing between motions, and diagnosing why pipeline is breaking.
Certification criteria
To earn the GTM World Model Certificate, you must:
- Complete all 6 module assessments with a score of 70% or above on each.
- Submit the capstone project: a full GTM audit of a real company, applying the diagnostic framework across all 6 module areas.
- Receive a passing score on the capstone (rubric: ICP accuracy, motion selection rationale, funnel instrumentation quality, economic stress-test validity, demand architecture completeness, agentic design feasibility).
- Pass the 60-question final assessment (multiple choice + short answer) drawn from the full GTM World Model ontology.
Certificates are issued as a verifiable digital credential. Renewal is recommended every 2 years as the GTM World Model evolves.
